I am a happy singer in my lifetime,
I love to sing from time to time.
I sing the sunrise reflects the River in flaming,
I sing the spring winds make blue water rippling,
I sing the Magnificent Three Gorges covering with clouds of whiteness,
I sing the thousands of miles of the River full of the ricefields’ sweetness,
I sing the land with nature's treasures and outstanding people ever,
I sing the scene rosy evening clouds and lone ducks fly together…
My songs intoxicated the mountains and rivers in grace,
I love the basin of Yangtze River of China, my birthplace!

With a round head, and short mouth my image looks very cute,
With a streamlined body I'm good at jumping to break the mute,
I am a swimming champion in speediness,
I am dancing in the water with happiness,
Where I am, the quality of water is good in ecology.

But, I become the "Number One endangered species in the water",
Because I am on the edge of extinction since ever,
I know, human friends are trying to save me from the rough,
Write me into the Protection Redbook, but it is not enough,?
The key is to strictly control the pollution and fishing,
So then I can share the beautiful environment with human being,
